The extended COVID-19 crisis is taking a heavy toll on education, especially in Indonesia where many schools have been closed for more than 15 months.
In some remote villages it is often difficult for children to get access to the Internet. Online learning is a daily struggle. This is the case in Southeast Sulawesi where we are currently building a new 150kV substation. Omexom teams have been trying to help the nearby Wolu village by installing a WiFi network. The children of the village now have a place from where they can connect to the Internet and continue to participate in online learning.
