Two water wells for Kamarian residents, making it no longer difficult for them to access clean water.
The CSR initiatives of our business units are an opportunity to make lasting change. Until recently the villagers in Kamarian, located on Seram Island in a remote part of Indonesia, needed to travel 2 kilometers to gather clean water. The Omexom Grid BU, which is currently building a high voltage substation near Kamarian, decided to help by constructing two water wells in the village. This water well initiative will help to improve the daily life of over 500 households by making clean water more accessible. Now with these wells in place, the local community no longer struggles to obtain clean water.
